If one could design a biological nanobot that could be ingested by man - you have the easy making for a always real-time GPS marker. By doing so one wouldnt have to be reliant upon cell phones or ID chips that could be turned off or lost. Rather implants that could be administered at birth or via consumption and function for the life of the host.
They could easily be placed in water supplies or in the air itself.
Each basic bot would need an unique ID number and basic genetic programming to move on or die (be passed) if another bot is arleady present. It would also need a way to ID its host.
Ways you can ID hosts if it wasn't administered during birth is through employment sweeps and medical check ups and via mandatory physicals for all peoples with health insurance.
What I meant by employment sweeps; is to target a place of employment to easily ID the subjects who are already on file there
Advance bots could be use to collect and record DNA on all hosts. Perhaps even act as a wire and relay audio.
They could also be used to neutralize enemy forces - real Bio tech warfare, that could be released in the air via drones over opposing forces who may inhale the bot. Bots could be designed to search out specific targets by bot ID, so they would only attack specific persons with specific bot numbers
For example: In a crowd of 1000 there are 5 specific targets a,b,c,d,e picked up through GPS bot positioning, arm programmed weaponized bots with terminate a,b,c,d,e are released via aerial transport - 5 people fall in a crowd of a 1000. Zero collateral damage.
